Chiropractic care is like building a house - certain things must happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work correctly. When building a house, if you tried to put up your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually collapse. If you tried to put on your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. The same is true for your body. Your body must go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. We tailor a specific care plan to meet your needs, goals and unique medical and physical condition.
At Bluewater Chiropractic Wellness Center, we aim to educate individuals and families about chiropractic and other natural solutions to common health problems to motivate you to take a more active and responsible role in restoring and maintaining you own health, as well as the people around you.
Upon entering our office, we will welcome you as a member of our chiropractic family. To expedite the initial appointment, we request that you complete our intake forms located on our website. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Next, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential care options. This initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Nervous System Evaluation and Examination
After your consultation, the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing key spinal and neurological components. Other standard orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well.
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays. X-rays help us develop the most effective care plan for you and alert us of any serious spinal conditions.
Report of Findings
The Report of Findings will be scheduled for your second visit. Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, the doctor will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- How can you help me?
- How often do I need to come in?
- How much will care cost?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, the doctor will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. The doctor will provide the best care plan and wellness program for your needs.
Your Care Plan
You will be given several recommendations to help accelerate your healing process. This may include ice or heat application instructions, certain activities, or positions to avoid, and at home exercises and/or stretches. Our wellness team will work with you also to create healthy habits and routines for your lifestyle. Every person is unique; therefore, everyone requires a customized wellness plan. The purpose of our wellness program is for you to achieve proper spinal alignment, develop healthy eating habits, exercise, and maintain a positive mental state.
Chiropractic care is a commitment. A commitment to a better life.
