  Lordex Decompression

What is the Lordex System?

The Lordex Lumbar Spine Program is a system developed to restore spinal stability and relieve pain associated with herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, facet syndrome and radiating pain.

The Lordex non-surgical, non-invasive system for management of disabling low back pain incorporates two proprietary machines; the Lordex Decompression Unit (LDU), and the Lordex Lumbar Extension Machine (RX-1). The LDU is designed to unload the spine, achieving that affect through decompression. The unique and versatile design allows angle specific, variable positioning to focus on the specific lesion, disc, or vertebrae which is the source of the pain.

Can the Lordex System work for everyone?

Clinical results indicate 80%, or more, or persons suffering from the common causes of low back pain could be provided relief by proper application of the Lordex program and protocols.

Patients with fractures, tumors, infections or metabolic disease are not candidates for treatment for the Lordex program. Your physician determines proper course of treatment, candidate status, and whether your condition exceeds the limits of a non-surgical program.
About Lordex Treatment

Each Lordex session consists of treatment on the LDU and RX-1 and takes approximately 45 minutes. The complete Lordex treatment program requires 20 hours over a 4 to 6 week period. The treatment is painless and most patients find the experience relaxing. Lordex is primary treatment for the management of pain for patients with disabling low back pain. Treatment is administered with patients fully clothed.

Acupuncture                                                                                       

Acupuncture is at last being accepted as a valid, effective, and useful alternative medical treatment by many in the mainstream medical community.

This treatment has been practiced for thousands of years in the far east. It is based on ancient Chinese theories of the constantly changing flow of energy, called ch'i,(pronounced "chee"), through distinct pathways or "meridians" that go through the body somewhat like little rivers of energy. It is believed that acupuncture helps to improve this flow.The Chinese believe that things go wrong in the body when there is an imbalance of the complimentary life forces, yin and yang. This "ch'i" energy is said to flow along fourteen interconnected main channels (meridians) on each side of the body which surface at some 360 acupuncture points. These meridians service one or more specific areas or organs. An imbalance between ones yin and yang can be corrected by stimulating the appropriate points on the body surface.

Dr. Lee utilizies a new technique in acupuncture called ETPS which is needleless. The instruments stimulate the meridian points using electrical energy rather than needles. The acupoints are associated with specific internal organs or organ systems. Studies show that ETPS stimulates the nerves in the underlying muscles. This leads to the release of chemicals in the brain that block pain signals. While many illnesses traditionally have been treated by acupuncture in Asia, it's primary use in the United States has been to relieve chronic pain caused by ailments such as arthritis, back problems, neck pain, leg pain, and headaches.  Acupuncture therapy doesn't hurt. You may feel nothing or you may possibly feel only a little sting with contact of the unit.

Several insurance companies now pay for acupuncture. More and more will do so as acupuncture becomes more widely used and the mechanism by which it exerts it's effects is further clarified.
